What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your username, display name, email address, and a protected representation of your password. We store the plants, notes, purchase sources, photos, and other details you choose to add. We process sign-in sessions and limited technical data, such as IP addresses for abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, that provider supplies a unique account identifier, verified email address, and any profile name you allow it to share. We use these details to create or connect your MyFernfolio account. If you subscribe, our payment providers process your payment details. We store subscription identifiers and status so your account receives the appropriate photo allowance. We do not receive your full card number.

How we use information

We use account information to sign you in, send verification and password reset emails, provide your collection, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, and protect the service. Your collection is private by default. If you enable profile sharing and share a plant, its details, including its purchase source and photos, can be seen by signed-in members in Community. You can turn sharing off or unshare individual plants.

Service providers and sharing

Cloudflare hosts the site, database, and photos. Resend delivers account emails. Google and Apple handle their respective optional sign-in flows. PayPal handles PayPal subscriptions; other enabled payment providers may handle their own checkout. These services process information needed to provide their functions. We do not sell your plant collection or uploaded photos. Other members can see only the information you choose to share in Community; guest access to a collection is separately controlled by its owner.

Retention and your choices

Your account and plant information remain available while your account exists. You can download plant details from Settings and delete your account there. Account deletion removes your plants and uploaded photos from active storage and cancels an active subscription when supported. Limited records may be retained where required for payments, security, or legal obligations. Contact support@myfernfolio.com for help with your information or account.

Security and updates

We use HTTPS, account access controls, and password hashing. No online service can promise absolute security. If this policy changes, the updated text and effective date will appear here.
